Instructions for Authors |

The Journal of Behavioral Economics and Finance is published on this website.
Authors are requested to follow the instructions described below:
1. The Journal consists of the highest quality theoretical and empirical papers in behavioral economics.
2. Non-ABEF member may submit the paper with a submission fee of 5,000 yen.
No fees are charged for the ABEF member.
3. All submitted papers should be written in either Japanese or English.
They should be original work that is not under submission
at another journal or under consideration for publication in another form.
4. All submitted papers should be in Microsoft Word or PDF format.
5. All papers must be submitted electronically on this submission site.
6. Writing instructions

(1) Manuscripts must be typewritten on A4 paper. Though no page limit is
set, manuscripts should be as concise as possible. The cover page should
contain the title of the paper, an abstract (about 150 characters), JEL
classification numbers (not more than 3), and keywords (not more than 5).
However, papers for the proceedings must not exceed 6 pages, including
text, notes, tables, figures, references and title page, etc.
(2)Papers should not include any identifying information about the authors
such as their names, affiliations, contact addresses (postal addresses,
telephone and fax numbers, and E-mail addresses), and acknowledgements,
etc.
(3)Tables and figures should be titled and numbered. (Examples: “Figure
1: Smoking behavior and happiness”;“Table 1:Descriptive statistics of experimental
results” Tables and figures should appear in appropriate places in the
text.
(4)References should be placed at the end of the paper. Footnotes should
be placed at the bottom of each page and they should be numbered consecutively.
The number should appear in the upper right-hand corner of the text.
(5)The final version of accepted manuscripts should follow the standard
format below unless there are any difficulties associated with word processing
application. Manuscripts should be clearly typed with single spacing throughout
using Times New Roman, 11 points font.
(6)The author may also submit a Japanese title and abstract for the Japanese
website.
(7)Upon acceptance of an manuscript, the author(s) will be asked to transfer
the copyright to the Association by sending the agreement to the following
postal address:
